1847 u bė konzul nė Janinė, mė 1851 nė Syradhe prej 1869 konzul-gjeneral nė
Athinė. Hahn-i merret si themelues i studimeve shqiptare. Ai ka mbledhur material
nė vend, mėsoi gjuhėn shqipe dhe dėshmoi pėrkatėsinė e shqipes si gjuhė e
familjes indoevropiane.
